POLYVINYL BUTYRAL (PVB)

Polyvinyl butyral Resin is a versatile, liquid-based resin created through the acetal reaction of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) with aldehydes using an acid catalyst. It is extensively used as a safety glass interlayer in laminated glass production, offering superior adhesion to glass and metal surfaces. PVB also serves as an adhesive in printing inks, wash primers, and baking varnishes, while finding key roles in electronic ceramics and printed circuit boards.
